I have a Mini DVI to DVI adapter, which can be used to connect Macbook/ Macbook Pro before 2009 models, which has mini DVI. Apple changed these Mini DVI to Mini Display Port in recent MB/ MBP designs.

Have you got a pic of the other side of the port(not the bit that goes in the macbook)

Hi, the other side of the port is a DVI connector. You are looking for VGA one.

I can do £8 is the lowest.

which means its no good for me,right?

basically, I need to hook up me laptop to a tv which does not have hdmi. It has scart. So I was told get a dvi to vga and a male to male vga cable and hey presto, it will all connect up.

Monitor has not arrived yet.......

Sorry mate, but if its not vga, then im afraid i'll have to back out of my interest. My monitor has not arrived yet but that will be hooked up the the ps3.

I wanted a dvi-vga so I could hook my bedroom tv to the laptop. tv has scart connections and no hdmi. so i wanted a dvi-vga(female) and then a male to male vga cable and hey presto, t'internet on tv

sorry to have wasted your time mate.
